Well I had my birthday last week, I am too damn old, and we shall leave it at that. But in the intervening time <Taurential Reign> put Leotheras the Blind in the dirt, and put in some attempts on Fathom-Lord Karathress; both interesting and fun fights.
Leotheras is quite fun and frustrating for any tank to tank, but thankfully having Avenger’s Shield made it a smidge easier then I thought once I got the timing down. I snagged Crystalforge Handguards and I am extremely happy, though the two piece leaves much to be desired, the four piece will help with Hyjal trash tanking.
I did notice a few fun things last night while doing the trash pulls to Fathom-Lord, I was maintaining about 800 TPS consistently during the fights, which is pretty damn nice, spiking as high as 1400 at times, I would like to think that I am getting better but I think much of it has to do with my improved itemization, and gear upgrades over the last few weeks.
I copied a character to the PTR to test out the 2.4 stuff, and I am really impressed with what I saw on Sunwell Isle, that will be a fun area to quest in, and the new five-man instance will be fun to run, especially for this awesome trinket, Commendation of Kael’thas; yeah it will be mine on live… oh yes it will be mine.
I am excited about the future, and I am digging the choice to go Protection all those months ago. I am so geared now, I can take lesser geared healers into Heroics and have easy success since I just don’t take that much damage anymore, normal content is just silly easy.
But being mana starved sucks.
