The future is a wonderful thing, and I am going to use my Fungineering Degree and prognosticate the future of mmo gaming, or at least pretend to feel important. So with that said here are my awesome predictions!

1. Wrath of the Lich King will launch in the summer, following a much shorter Beta cycle just in time to butt heads with Warhammer Online.
2. Warhammer Online will be successful, it just won’t topple World of Warcraft.
3. Bioware will announce their MMO soon, and I am guessing that although fandom wants it to be Knights of the Old Republic Online, it will be drum roll please… Mass Effect Online.
4. Korean MMOs will continue to flood the market with free to play and RMT based models, they will garner large numbers but not much acclaim. American companies will put out more free to play games as well, the business model will change.
5. By the end of the year Blizzard will announce their Next Generation MMO.

Maintaining a blog is hard work, I have not done this site the justice it deserves and probably because I have only focused on one faucet of my geek nature, that being MMO gaming, which I do love with a passion. I don’t foresee myself anytime soon not playing an MMO of some type in the years/decades to come, so I will devote a fair amount of time and effort to that but I have other lesser known geek talents.
