I have been playing World of Warcraft for about two years, or maybe more then that; I was a late started and didn’t get hooked till about January of 2005. I started playing as an undead rogue, which pretty much cemented my love for the horde. But as most players I created several alts, one of which was a dwarf paladin which I ended up loving more then I thought I would.
But as with many things I had to put him aside and get back to business on my rogue.
And then Burning Crusade came out. Blood elves could be paladins and all was right in the world. But unlike ninety percent of the paladins out there, I went with an off-spec paladin, Protection. Mainly because although I enjoyed my rogue, my first love has always been tanking, and being at the forefront of the fight holding threat and taking damage for my comrades.
Now the road of a protection paladin, or tankadin, as some folks call us is a hard one fraught with uncertainty, self-doubt, and the skepticism of the gaming public. It is a tough road and can break many the would be tankadin, but if you stay the course the rewards are sweet. I can’t say that I am the best tank, but I am the Main Tank for my guild, and that is a good feeling.
I will probably share more of my words of wisdom as I think of them.
But enough with the gushing last night was a blast; we finished our weekly Karazhan run, well our first one for our newly created guild. We got up through the Curator with probably more then half the group never steeping foot in Karazhan, as a treat we pushed on to the Chess event with nine and got some free epics. I didn’t get anything personally besides Moroe’s Pocket Watch; but we had several tanking pieces drop. I passed on them to get others geared. My highlight of the night was tanking three of the five bosses in the Oz encounter at once with ease, which was pretty much awesome. I had Tito, Tinhead, and Roar locked down on me and I didn’t seem to even take much damage.
Hopefully within a week or two we will be downing the Prince.

I know you are trying to be humble in your blog post but I’m here to bust up all things humble. Vanifae is best tank.
